Mathematics Exchange Program
between
University of Natural Sciences and North Carolina State University
According to the Memorandum of Understanding between Department of Mathematics (North Carolina State University) and Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City, a professor of Department of Mathematics, North Carolina State University will visit to Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City and organizes the Qualifying examination of North Carolina State University in August of 2008.
- Subject areas : the students select three subject areas of foloowing possibilities :
MA 515, 715 Analysis (Syllabus-math515, exam)
MA 580, 780 Numerical Analysis (Syllabus-math580,Syllabus-math780,exam)
MA 532, 732 Ordinary Differential Equations (Syllabus-math532, Syllabus-math732, exam)
MA 778, 779 Probability (Syllabus-math779, exam)
- Candidats : graduate students of Department of Mathematics and Computer Science - University of Natural Sciences
- Fee : 50 USD for each student. This fee will be given back to the student if he is successful in these examinations.
- After passing the qualifying examination and satisfying the requirement for a MS degree from University of Natural Sciences, the student will have to formally apply to the graduate program at North Carolina State University by following the application procedure as described in http://www.math.ncsu.edu/grad/intinfo.php. If the student’s application is successful, the student will be admitted into the graduate program at North Carolina State University in mathematics or applied mathematics with financial support. To maintain the diversity in its student population, this Mathematics Exchange Program will limit the number of admitted students from University of Natural Sciences to two (2) students per year.
